Information Minister Labaran Maku has said he never thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for bringing Facebook to Nigeria. While visiting Daily Trust’s Editorial Board Thursday, Maku said he found the story being bandied about amusing. He said: “Everyone knows Facebook has been in existence for a long time before the President assumed office, so how could I have said a thing like that?” He said all he was trying to do was to make a point on how President Jonathan is utilising the social networking utility to reach youths, who constitute the largest chunk of internet users in Nigeria.
