The Committee in the guidelines released in Abuja, also said all elected officials will be sworn in the same day, immediately after the election exercise.
Chairman of the electoral Committee Barrister Abdulhakeem Mustapha, who announced this at a media briefing held at Sigma Apartments, informed that collection of nomination forms will commence on June 7, while deadline for return of nomination forms will be June 21.
He also revealed that screening of candidates will take place in Abuja from July 12 to 16, while acceptance of petitions will be July 17 to 20.
Aside from the release of the list of qualified candidates on July 21, Mustapha said there will be a presidential debate on August 12.
According to the Electoral Committee Chairman, who said the exercise will be conducted in line with the NFF statutes approved by FIFA, a person shall be eligible to contest election into the NFF Board only if he is educated up to at least a pass in the Ordinary level of the Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent; has attained the age of 30 years for ordinary members or 35 for President and Vice President; is a dully registered member of a body, club or other organization, which is a member of the NFF in accordance with Article 10 of the NFF Statutes for a period of four years prior to the date of the elections.
He also says such a candidate must produce evidence of tax payment as and when due for a period of three years immediately preceeding the year of election.
Mustapha added that in the case of Vice Presidential candidate and eight ordinary members, they, they must have been nominated in writing by the Chairman of the State FA of origin and endorsed by two other FA Chairmen from two other geo-political zones of the NFF and upon the purchase of nomination form at the cost of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100, 000) for Ordinary members and One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira for the Vice President.
In teh case of President, he must have been endorsed by his State FA of origin and endorsed by three other FA Chairman from three different geo-political zones upon the purchase of a nomination form at the cost of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only.
