Air Nigeria splashes N20m on Falconets

The managing Director of Air Nigeria, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim yesterday in the name of Air Nigeria and his other conglomerates splashed a whopping N20m on members of the silver winning Falconets of Nigeria.

Making the donation at a lunch organized in honour of the team at the Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja, the business mogul said the money was a token of appreciation for the team’s impressive outing in the just concluded FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Germany.

He said the Falconets have brought honour to the country and nothing should be considered too big to be used in appreciating the feat they achieved recently.

The MD of Air Nigeria and many other businesses spread across the country said: “We want you to really feel at home here. We really thank you. On behalf of Air Nigeria and myself, we decided to host you to lunch today (yesterday) in our hotel to celebrate your victory at the just concluded championship.

“Please enjoy your lunch and if there is anything you want us to do to make you better, let us know. I am sure you have been enjoying your stay in this hotel for the days you have been here. On behalf of Air Nigeria and our various companies, we would donate a token in appreciation of what you have done; I will make a donation of N20m to you”.

Jimoh who ordered that the money be released to the team before the end of the lunch said as the First Lady of Nigeria had given scholarship to the players, they should use the N20m donation to put in their accounts and start life just as he expressed hope that other individual Nigerians and corporate bodies would emulate his organizations’ kind gesture to the team.

His words: “Her Excellency the First Lady had given you scholarships but we on our side, Air Nigeria have given you N20m to put in your accounts. We hope other Nigerians will join by giving you gifts to celebrate your victory. I want to thank and appreciate you very much for doing the nation proud”.

Jimoh said he wants more of such Nigerians (Falconets) to make the country shine continually adding that Nigeria is simply the best country in the entire universe.
