An official of Sudanese club Al Merriekh, Nasir Mohammed, told MTNFootball.com: “We expect Kelechi back with us in November. He is close to finishing his rehabilitation in Newcastle with the medical technicians of Sunderland FC.
“All his expenses in England are borne by Al Merriekh.”
Former Dolphins of Port Harcourt star Osunwa, who was top scorer in the Sudanese league for the third time last season, injured his knee in a league match against Al Hli Khartoum in May.
Doctors said the striker, who will be 26 this month, will be out for five months.
