Super Falcons forward, Peppe Nkwocha (34 years) has hinted that she will be calling it quits with international football after the African Women Championship in South Africa.
Nkwocha said the AWC will propel her decision to retire from the national team as she feels she has given enough to service to father land.‘’When we lost out in the last edition, it was very painful, hence I decided to motivate this set of girls to South Africa to ensure we bring the trophy home. This should definitely be my last AWC, I think it is time to quit and that will be after helping Nigeria win this title, ‘’ Nkwocha said.
Nkwocha was voted African Women Footballer of the Year in 2004 and 2005 by CAF.
The Falcons’ jetted out of the country on Wednesday night and play Mali in their opening game on November1.
