Salami doubtful for Sunshine clash

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) striker Gbolahan Salami is a major doubt for today’s league clash against Sunshine Stars after picking up a thigh strain in his side’s 2-1 victory over Ocean Boys last Wednesday.
The forceful striker had an impressive afternoon; providing an assist for Taofeek Mutiu Adepoju’s opener and worrying the Ocean Boys’ backline all afternoon.It however ended badly for the youngster as he was forced to limp off the pitch with a thigh strain in the second half with Sylvanus Ebiaku coming on to replace him.
“I am not happy with the injury though the doctors at the club have told me that it is not too serious. I hope I will recover fully before our next game,” he told SuperSport.com.
Salami has been one of the leading lights at the club this term with his four goals making him the club’s top scorer.
3SC are in 14th place on the log with 25 points from 20 games.
