The game has been moved forward by two weeks following the nationwide strike that has grounded flights in and out of Nigeria.
Officials of the two countries say they believe the crisis would be resolved before the next two weeks the match is scheduled to hold.
“The Nigeria Football Federation and the Liberia Football Association have both agreed to postpone the friendly match between their senior teams by two weeks, after which circumstances that have necessitated the shift would surely have normalized”, stated Barrister Musa Amadu, General Secretary of the NFF.
The match between the Super Eagles and the Lone Star will now take place at the end of January.
