Two weeks pay cut for Keshi, Amokachi

Super Eagles’ head coach, Stephen Keshi, will receive a pay cut, SuperSport.com has been informed.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has decided to slash the monthly pay of Keshi by two weeks following the coach’s decision to feature as television pundit at the 2012 Nations Cup for SuperSport.Keshi’s assistant, Daniel Amokachi, who is also on the SuperSport’s panel of analysts for the Africa Cup of Nations will also suffer a pay cut.
SuperSport.com has learned that the football federation decided to slash the pay of Amokachi and Keshi since both men will be away from their duty posts for two weeks.
“Keshi and Amokachi will have their salaries cut by two weeks,” an NFF source confirmed. “The NFF is cutting their pay since both men will be away to the Nations Cup that begins this weekend. And I must tell you that the coaches agreed to the conditions given them by the NFF including the pay cut.”
Earlier this week, NFF Technical Sub-committee chairman, Chris Green disclosed that Keshi and Amokachi were cleared to take up the pundit job.
