The NOA boss, who pledged to continue to mobilise Nigerians to see the need to support their national teams during international competitions, also urged all the 774 local government councils in the country to float football leagues to help discover talents for use by the national football teams.
“The position you are holding is challenging because you have the challenge to satisfy you also have national pride to protect by ensuring that our national team improves. So, you have to do it for us and Mr. President.
“The National Orientation Agency had a programme of assisting the NFA with national flags to distribute to soccer fans during international matches and we are going to consolidate and sustain that, and also mobilize Nigerians to support our teams during international games.
On his part, Keshi promised to redouble his efforts to ensure that the nation’s football enjoys a lift.
“Part of my effort to develop the game is to go to the nooks and crannies of the country to discover talents and give them the opportunity to showcase their talents. It may not be all of them that will make it the national team, as it is natural that not all footballers play in the national teams before becoming great players”, he stated.

The Director General National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri has described the job of Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi as tasking, pointing out that he has the challenge to satisfy all 150 million Nigerians.
