Declaring the tournament close, the Governor represented by the commissioner for Sports, Alhaji Mannir Ibrahim Talba commended YSFON for its efforts over the years to develop sports at the grassroots just as he pledged the state government’s support to the body in its bid to discover hidden talents in the country.
In his speech at the occasion, the zonal coordinator North West zone 1 of the National Sports Commission, Dr. Ademola Areh, who represented the Minister of Sports, urged the NFF to partner YSFON in developing football at the grassroots charging other states to emulate Katsina state and sponsor more competitions by the body.
Presenting a giant trophy to the winners, national President of YSFON, Nasiru Gawuna, expressed gratitude to Katsina State government for sponsoring the championship for second year running and commended all the players and officials for exhibiting good sportsmanship throughout the duration of the week-long tournament.

Bauchi U-17 boys have won the 2nd edition of Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema football competition organized by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON).
