Dr. Ndagi, I don’t think you are being fair. Your people are heartless and wicked. They started the burning of churches. They killed corpers. Please, don’t say what you don’t know. You are quite insincere in your assessment of the crisis in Jos. It was not Jang that was shouting Allahu Akbar. Unless you tell your brothers the truth, the crisis in Jos will not abate. How Many Christians were killed and none of you is saying anything about it. Was it Jang that killed the corpers? Was he the one that burned the churches? Your insincerity is capable of destroying an entire nation. Where were you when your brothers were killing Christians in kano, Bauchi, Borno, Kaduna, etc, on spurious reasons? Voluntary Fast in Shawwal:
We remind Muslim brothers and sisters about the six days of voluntary fast, which the prophet (SAW) exhorts us to observe in the Islamic lunar month of Shawwal that follows the month of Ramadan. Imam Muslim relates on the authority of Abi Ayyub (RA) in his authentic (sahih) collection of ahadith that the prophet (SAW) said, “Whoever observes the Ramadan fast and follows it up with six days (of voluntary fast) in Shawwal shall be deemed to have fasted for a whole lifetime”. It is preferred that Ramadan is immediately followed up with the six days of voluntary fast. Today is already the 14th day of Shawwal. Let us not allow our traditional enemy (the Satan) to weaken our sprit to observe the six days fast. Let us heed the prophetic exhortation and shun procrastination. May Allah give us the strength and willpower to observe this prophetic tradition if we have not done so, amin.
