Stocks: Stanbic IBTC, others post high volume in Sept

RENCAP Securities and BGL Securities Limited recorded highest volume of traded equities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), in September with 403,591,556 and 247,805,192 million shares at 16.18 and 9.94 per cent respectively.

According to analysts at Proshare, traded equities volume of the two stock broking firms is valued at N3.437 billion and N808.619 million respectively.

Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers  also recorded a total of 174,062,600 million traded shares According to the report, other stockbrokers’ firms that recorded huge volume during the month were Equity Capital Solutions 115,125,834 million shares, Cordros Capital Limited 98,166,517 million shares, APT Securities and Fund Limited with 95,018,392 million shares, Chapehill Denham Securities 87,477,252 million shares, ARM Securities 84,529,551q million shares, ESL Securities 81,419,210 million shares and Vetiva Securities with 65,308,302 million shares.

Stanbic IBTC led ten others in the highest total value traded in September with N3.938 billion,  Cordros Capital Limited with N366.872 million, Chapelhill Denham Securities traded shares worth N417.220 million, ARM Securities N319.169 million, Vetiva Securities with N507.553 million while Falcon Securities also traded equities valued at N445,323 million The ten stockbrokers accounted for 63.06 per cent of the total value of 58.25% of the total volume traded in September
