Newly promoted Bukola Babes of Offa will this afternoon attempt to prove its critics wrong by getting a respectable result as they visit 3SC FC of Ibadan at the Liberation Stadium Ibadan.
Last week when it appeared as if they were running away with at least a point against Zamfara United, 3SC caved in few seconds to the final whistle as they let in a goal to end the match 1-1.
So as they play host to embattled Bukola Babes, 3SC will certainly aim at the three points at stake so as to atone for draw at the Pillars Stadium Kano.
Even as the odds do not favour them, Bukola Babes are still sounding confident as they have vowed to give the Ibadan based club a good run for its money.
Speaking to Trustsports, The General Manager of Bukola Babes Alloy Chukwuemeka, a veteran journalist said the crisis in his team’s camp has been blown out of proportion by those who do not wish his club well.
He said they will be taking on 3SC as a united family as he maintained that the existing problem between the Technical Adviser of the team, Erasmus Onuh and his assistant Festus Alem will not affect the morale of the players.
Chukwuemeka said a coach from the Kwara sports council has been drafted in to lead the team to Ibadan and is expected to give the players the necessary technical support.
“We are going to Ibadan for the maximum points. The morale in our camp is really high. Although so far we have only a point in our kitty, the players have been playing very well.
“Those who have continued to hammer in the existing misunderstanding between our two coaches should know that these coaches have not been sacked but suspended. Moreover, we are not going to miss them so much because we have found an alternative handler pending when they will resolve their differences”, he stated.
While 3SC is third on the league table, their opponents in today’s match are last on the table with a single point from their opening home match against Zamfara United.
