Shedding more light on the nature of Sterling Bank’s investment in related infrastructure, the Head of its Clearing Unit, Taslimot Jones, said that the bank recently acquired and installed the Participating Bank Clearing House Centre Systems (ECPIX SERVICES) equipment.

The Lagos Bankers Clearing House Representatives has honoured Sterling Bank with a Merit Award as the fourth most efficient bank in clearing Data Transmission for the year 2010. This feat, according to a statement from the bank, is more remarkable given the fact that the period under consideration spanned between January and December 2010 while Sterling Bank only commenced Electronic Data Transmission in May 2010.The bank’s Group Head, Domestic Operations, Bayo Anifowose, said the feat did not come as a surprise given the quality and scale of the bank’s investment in related Infrastructure and overall manpower development.
